Thursday May 29

The Ferrari Cup Challenge Event kicks off with registration and check-in at the Grove Park Inn [ www.groveparkinn.com]. This is an opportune time to enjoy the incredible spa facilities at the Grove Park. If you have never seen this spa you are in for something special. Unwind after your trip and re-energize before the festivities begin. That evening we will be holding a welcome cocktail party at the hotel. But don’t stay out too late……..

Friday May 30

We start our day with a fun rally through the mountains as we head toward South Carolina. We end up in Greer South Carolina, home to the BMW [facility]. Lunch will be served before we head out to the BMW test track and performance driving school. Experienced track instructors and test drivers will give us some lessons on the track and handling in the latest wares from BMW. This should prove to be a unique experience for us car fanatics.

Alternate: For those that choose not to drive at the BMW test track this is another great time to enjoy the spa. Massages, facials, and many other special treatments are available for your relaxation. You don’t want to miss this luxury. Reserve your treatments ahead of time as they tend to sell out before the event begins.

Friday evening a buffet dinner and silent and live auction will be held at the Inn. This will be a fun time with both golf and car stuff available for you to bid on. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Special Ops Warrior Foundation our featured beneficiary.

Saturday May 31

The morning begins with the namesake event……the Ferrari Cup Challenge Golf Tournament. Groups will tee off in this scramble style tournament at the Grove Park golf course. There are two par 3’s where the golfers will have a shot at WINNING A FERRARI with a hole-in-one. If no one “holes out” for the car there will be $100,000 Shoot Out at the end of the tournament. The golfer that came closest to the pin on the par 3’s gets one more chance to sink a shot in the cup to WIN BIG.

Alternate: RALLY ON THE RIDGE For you non-golfers another mountain rally is planned locally around the Asheville area. Beginning in the morning and returning around noon this is another great opportunity to stretch the legs on your Prancing Horse while taking in the beautiful scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We will all want to get back to the Grove Park for the sumptuous lunch held at the 19th hole after the tournament.

Saturday night we all gather for an evening romp to the nearby Biltmore Estate. All of our cars will be displayed for pictures in front of the Biltmore. There will be a tour of the stately mansion for all. Thereafter cocktails and dinner will be served on the grounds just outside. Country music entertainer Rockie Lynne and his band will perform some of his favorites after dinner. Also after dinner the winners of the Cup Challenge Golf Tournament will be announced. After the festivities we head back to the Grove Park.

Sunday June 1

Have a nice morning enjoying the Grove Park’s warmth before we head home. Say goodbye to your friends over coffee in the lobby.
